This dance, with its unusual name (which, by the way, translates to "party" or "carnival" from French Creole), incorporates a mix of national traditions from around the world: you can hear lively Caribbean rhythms as well as French, English, and African roots.
It is one of the so-called social dances, meaning it was used as a way for people to connect through passionate and emotionally charged movements! A dance like this was bound to become popular.

Every year, more and more people want to learn this style and attend specialized schools that focus on it. By the way, the number of such schools is also increasing each year.
There are even entire portals that gather and inform people about zouk events in their countries or cities. Believe me, there are plenty of posters and announcements there. Even in our country, such events are held.
