What Music Dominates Flexing Dance and Why It Matters

It's worth noting that flexing is popular among youth as a means of self-expression.
The dance, though originating from Jamaican dances, is mostly performed to hip-hop music. It consists of rhythmic, sharp movements combined with styles like Wave and Gliding.

The main theme of flexing is portraying the dancer as something unusual, otherworldly. Dancers use various personas and turn it into a story with some plot. Due to the nature of the movements, it all looks unnatural, extraterrestrial.

The mood of flexing: there are no specific rules in this dance style; no boundaries are set.

Flexers, who took bruk up as a base, began adding their own touch. The most popular moves include:

* Connecting (making shapes with hands, with a modernized foundation)

* Pauzin

* Punchline animation

* Gliding - the effect of sliding feet as if on ice

* Get low - moving the body across three levels: low/mid/top

* Hat trick - tricks with caps

* Isolation - the "robot" style, using body isolation

* Magic illusions - creating the effect of illusion

* Bonebreak (Arm Flex) - twisting and turning arms thanks to stretched and developed joints

* Flexing came to be called freestyle, as anyone is free to perform whatever they want. There are also special competitions for this: Battlefest, LOUD, KOBK, etc.

Since the dance involves energetic movements, the music should match.

You can search online for charts like "20 tracks with crazy beats."
At first, when you dance, try to actively attune to the music instead of focusing on the moves.

The key in dancing is the ability to feel the music. You can have amazing flexibility and technique, perfected to the smallest detail, but if you don't let the dance flow through you, the result won't be as impressive.

When listening to music, we unconsciously synchronize our movement frequency with it. Practice often to hip-hop music, listen to it, learn to recognize the beats, don't forget to properly warm up your muscles, and dance with pleasure.

The coolest dancer is the one who works hard and wants to achieve more!
