Strip Latina Dance: Origins, Styles, and Key Elements

A modern dance style called Strip-Latina combines the brightest elements of Latin American dances: cha-cha, samba, rumba, jive, mambo, merengue, and salsa, enhanced with the beautiful plasticity of strip-dance. This dance exudes femininity, eroticism, elegance, flexibility, fast tempo, and an upbeat mood that leaves no one indifferent.

Strip Latina is based on hip and leg movements typical of Latin American dance programs. Popular elements include: alemana, New York, chassé, spot turn, bota fogos, bounce, whisk, volta, whip. Strip-dance adds moves like: cat crawl, arch, drop to the floor, figure eight, and others.

The history of erotic dance goes back to ancient times – Indian temple priestesses began learning beautiful and sensual body movements from childhood. Such dance was considered sacred. In Egypt and Israel, the alme – followers of the god Osiris – wore translucent shirts, harem pants, bared their bellies, and performed erotic dances in honor of the god.

Ancient Greek courtesans also mastered strip-plasticity, dancing for the most influential people of their time. Japanese geishas are perhaps among the few dancers who perfected strip-dance. Through dance, they express all the feelings and emotions they have for their beloved man.

It's important to note that strip-plasticity is not the same as striptease. In the latter, undressing is typical, whereas in strip-plasticity, clothing is a necessary attribute – it adds mystery to the dancer, making the movements even more attractive, especially to the opposite sex. Of course, strip-dance can be performed by men, but in most cases it is danced by women, as this style was originally created for them.

Latin American dances, in turn, incorporate movements not only from different countries of the South American continent but also from different peoples. It's well known that Spain had many colonies in Latin America, so its culture inevitably influenced the dance world. The same applies to African peoples who migrated from their countries to Latin America long ago.

Latina differs from strip-plasticity in that it typically has a very fast tempo, more complex rhythm, constant leg and hip movements requiring precise control of knee bends and extensions, as well as overall body carriage. In Latin, hands and head also play an important role – the head always makes its own accents, giving the dance harmony and completeness.

And while strip-plasticity can be danced barefoot, Latin is traditionally danced in heels, as they enhance the femininity of the legs.

Thus, energy and sensuality, speed and fluidity merge in one direction called Strip-Latina. This dance is typically performed in clubs, discos, and just at parties.

It will definitely not let you be bored; on the contrary, it will boost your confidence and lift your spirits. If you are insecure or very shy, you urgently need to learn strip-latina, as it will cure all your emotional ailments.
