Moroccan dancer Youssef Mourahab has won the country’s first-ever gold medal at the 2026 Dance World Cup. Competing in the Senior category, Mourahab scored **90.9 points** to take first place, according to the Temps’Danse school.
The Dance World Cup, one of the largest international dance competitions on the planet, brought together nearly **12,000 participants** from dozens of countries. Morocco sent a delegation of **36 dancers** ranging in age from 7 to 24.
The team didn’t stop at one medal. Chama Benkirane finished fifth in the world in Street Dance and earned a **Golden Ticket** — access to international training workshops. The Moroccan team also secured a **top-10 finish** in the Commercial Group category, while several dancers placed in the top 15 of their respective events with scores above **83 points**.
Myriam Bouayad, founder of Temps’Danse, said the results reflected years of training and preparation aimed at helping young Moroccan dancers compete at the highest international level.
