This landmark event brought together an impressive array of talent, featuring more than 800 young dancers from 33 dynamic groups hailing from across the globe.
Organized by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and other key entities, the festival served as a powerful platform for cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration. The opening parade on July 18 saw over 800 dancers from 33 groups weave through Macao's historic streets, captivating residents and tourists alike with a kaleidoscope of traditional and contemporary dance forms. This grand procession, starting at the iconic Ruins of St. Paul's and concluding in Senado Square, set a vibrant tone for the week-long celebration.
One of the festival's highlights was the first indoor performance held at Macao Forum on July 21, where nearly 300 dancers from 11 youth dance groups delivered a breathtaking show to an audience of over 1,000. Performers masterfully blended classical elegance, regional and ethnic flair, and modern rhythms, showcasing the rich diversity and universal appeal of dance. Beyond the stage, the festival fostered deeper connections through artistic workshops, flash mob performances in locations like Hengqin Port and the Macao Science Center, and even a photography contest, encouraging widespread participation and interaction.
